    Rear difflock actuator

Great job and useful to see the pics, thanks for sharing. I still have mine to do at some stage but as yet don't have a replacement. I've considered looking into the ARB air lockers or similar, but imagine they'll be super expensive. Anyone any experience with that type of upgrade? Cheers, Mark

    Heated Rear Windscreen Help

Hi TP/Dave, That’s a nice simple idea, cheers! I did put my multimeter on it and while I’m still getting to grips with multimeters it appeared to read only 0.5 amps and actually 14volts with engine on. Will try your idea with the bulb tomorrow morning. Thanks guys, Mark

    Heated Rear Windscreen Help

Hi Dave, Mmm... now you have me thinking, I didn’t realise that could happen. (Electrics aren’t my strong point). So I measured around 12.5 volts on the one side (left) when the switch was on and yes, that side has had dampness in the past! Would simply drying and cleaning up the connections...

    Heated Rear Windscreen Help

Thanks to all of you for your info and offers. Think I’ll steer well clear of Auto Windscreens TP, cheers! Thanks Karl, a little more testing to do but an inexpensive replacement might be a great answer. I’m temporarily in Cambridge and normally based 9 hours drive north so anything I can get...

Rear Quaters filling up with water

Thanks for your input Guys! Regarding the appropriate drainage in the quaters... I'm wondering if the lowest seem joint in there is supposed to have a 'slit' style drain like we find intermittently along the central sill area under the doors. Could anyone verify that please? Neither of mine...

Rear Quaters filling up with water

Thanks guys, I have noticed a few drops of water above the drivers area when it's raining hard so I imagine the sunroof isn't completely water tight, maybe a small amount is able to trickle down there. On the drivers quater, I had a pool about a cm high so quite considerable I think. The...

Rear Quaters filling up with water

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone can advise why both my rear quarters are holding water. I'm referring to the sections hidden by the corner bumper units and where electric and sunroof drain pipe passes through (Hope that makes sense) I recently did work to both sides and believe they are both...

    Which alarm would you recommend?

Wow Frank, sounds like you have your very own version of Fort Knox :grinning: thanks for all the input fellas - I just read on a website that any Thatcham product has to be installed by a registered fitter, so I guess it's time to spend a bit of dosh with one of them. Cheers, Mark

Hi, Thanks for the reply, sounds like you've got all angles covered! Is that the Sigma S30? Does it come with new remote key fobs to open the doors using the existing central locking mechanisms? Cheers, Mark

Just to resurrect this thread.... Dave, can I ask where you managed to source the relays please. I've taken my brown (headlight) one out and cleaned the contacts but it hasn't fixed the issue. How to remove rear seatbelt?

Absolutely Clive, Here it is. In fact it didn't really show a close up of which part of the plastic flips up to reveal the bolt, so I found myself slightly damaging one of mine. For others sake....there is a fine seam line joint about an inch above the actual belt that can be opened and flipped...

Handed Batteries or not - what's correct?

Thanks Frank, Surprisingly the dealership were offering two for £140 which I thought seemed ok I but they didn't know the brand, just that it was a 65Ah and 570 CCA. It seems most of you guys are using much higher Ah units which I thought would be better to get while I'm changing them.

    Rust

Hi Craig, Did you get this sorted yet? If not I could send you a few pics of the repair I did on mine, which was also on the near side arch/sill. It required the removal of the side step to see exactly what was occurring and to get access to cut away a small section. Cheers, Mark

Handed Batteries or not - what's correct?

Hi Guys, Had a little starting issue yesterday and think I'm going to have to buy two new batteries so really just want to get the correct/best ones.
