Guys, I'm looking to upgrade the brakes on the 80. Wanted vented discs and braided hoses etc. Is there a readily available kit for this that anyone knows of? Would save me a load of hassle/time of having to source individual parts for the job. I'm assuming it's a pretty straight forward...

Installed the new starter, pretty quick job. Stripped the old one and the copper contacts are completely worn! Surprised it lasted this long before packing up. The new 1.4kw starter is noticeable noisier that the 2kw OEM version though, so when I get the bits from US, I will swap the old starter...

Thanks for the replies chaps... Unfortunately no one in the UK has the correct parts for the Petrol starter, ( plenty in USA). Been told by Toyota, Milners and Roughtrax that the starter in the petrol is a different model and the bits will not fit. Srange as it's only 2 copper contacts. I...

Thanks Andy, I've pretty much exhausted all the know solutions. As you know the petrol doesn't have sep starter relay and the solenoid is part of the starter. Battery is ok Cables all ok Terminals oll ok Fuse link ok Not EFI relay Not neutral safety switch. Been working fine until this week...

I know this isn't a Landcruiser..... but same principle My alternator has started behaving oddly. At first this was only with indicators as per video, but on trip back from Wales, after about half hour driving (when the engine was warm ) it began to do the very same with no indicators running...

Mark, you seem to have fallen in love with Morocco, indeed a beautiful country. Have you explored anywhere else in Africa? If the Morocco/desert landscape is your 'thing" then you would love Namibia for sure. Why not venture further south on your travels?.. I don't mean W/S or M'tania.

Some months ago I cracked the windscreen on the '98 petrol 80. I was very reluctant to change the windscreen, because I just knew the new one would be a leak problem. Unfortunately the crack began to creep and grew too large to ignore. Would have failed next MOT for sure. So very...
