Ok so the parts arrived today and I've just finished the install and took it for a quick test. Seems to work ok but The seatbelt warning light is staying on. Any ideas what would cause this? I left the airbag off could this be the cause?

Great work guys. I'd like to try this myself. I have a d4d manual. Does anyone have a link to the clutch switch that I'd need? (Also I'm not very mechanically minded, what is the process for installing this part?)

Thanks. I had the air con re-gassed last week. Would these drips be from that? Or is it most likely a leak?

Can any of you knowledgable lot can tell me what the hell this is, located near my offside headlight? And why it may be dripping oil? thanks

I've just realised that the leak is in the lower oil pan. Can this be removed with engine in situ?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but today I took off my front stone guard and wiped a spot of gunk off the bottom corner of the sump and a tiny pin prick hole appeared and started to pee out oil. I took it to a garage who suggested he weld a plate around it. Is this a good solution????

Thanks warren, I did visit this site but I wasn't 100% sure if this is compatible with the D4D 1KD engine. I assume that it would be as its basically just a pipe. Just wanted to be sure.

Thanks for the info, this sounds logical, Mileage is 163k. The 'clunk' seems to be intermittent and also causes a very slight shudder in the footwell, does that sound consistent with it being the starter clutch?

Yes I was reading on another thread about the 1KZ solenoid, but there was no mention of clunking. Would there be any way to test?

Don't think it's the aerial as that has been snapped off and it's never happened before, also radio wasn't on.

Hi guys, hope you can help. I have a 2001 Colorado with the d4d engine and this morning when I started her up when i turned the key there was a clunk sound then started fine. The same thing happened this evening. Any ideas as to likely cause? Any advice appreciated, but try to keep it stupid...
