thinking of buying another Cruiser......100 v8

Get a V8. Best tow car I have ever had. Went to France this year and got 175 miles from a full LPG tank towing a 1700 kg twin axle caravan at 60mph. I have had a stainless steel complete exhaust system fitted which means I get about 173 miles per LPG fill up, which costs £54, which is all in...

    Dark Dude Spotted

I was driving home last night through Tottenham, 5.00pm ish, when I spotted a cool 100 in blue with AT tyres and a spare wheel mounted on the back. The driver even waved and acknowledged me as we passed. Yes I do believe it was the one and only Dark Dude. It was only when we had passed and I...

Exhausting day at Pro Speed in Cardiff.

My 53 plate V8 needed a new exhaust. Toyota wanted £3000 for a complete system. After posting on here it became very clear that a stainless steel system was the way to go and that Charlie at Pro Speed in Cardiff was the man to do it. So last Wednesday we left London at 5.00 am for the drive to...

    Milestone.

I sold my 80 in Jan 2013, due to getting a V8 100, with 303 MILES on the clock. It was my daily driver and was still hauling my twin axle caravan and 3500 kg Ifor Williams trailer. A special moment when 300,000 was reached

    LPG or Diesel

In the end I bought the first V8 100 I looked at and picked it up on 1/1/13. Its a 53 plate face lift with a 5 speed and had done 109,000 miles. An LPG conversion, £2,000, had been done 2.5 years previously at 60,000 miles and a flashlube system was fitted at the same time. Its the best car I...

Replace auto gearbox with a manual

My last cruiser, a 4.2 diesel 80, was an auto and so is my 100. Best thing I ever did was going to auto's. Smooth and seamless gear changes. Fantastic when towing especially now I have a 5 speed box. Go and try one. You might be surprised! paul c

Ok an update. Charlie at Prospeed in Cardiff is the only one to email me back with a price. It is in my opinion a very good price and it is a fixed price. He is pricing to put on 2 sport cats but when I read back through some old posts I noticed that Jon had had some issues with the cats that...

    Tailgate repaired

At last I have returned the Aygo and have got the cruiser back. It has had a brand new tailgate fitted, sprayed and all the original glass and trim put back. Looks OK although it is harder to shut, you have to slam it. Only concern is the landcruiser badge may not be stuck on that well. Time...

I have only had my 53 plate face lift V8 since 1/1/13. Had no issues when cold and you are right in the summer it switches over quicker. Tailgate repairs agreed by Mr T

Well the cruiser went of to Hills (my local Toyota dealer) yesterday to have its tailgate done. AHC question

I agree with John the AHC is fantastic. The other week I gave my aged parents, they are in their 80's, their first ride in my V8. My mum who never coments on cars remarked on how smooth and comfortable the ride was. To top this my wife who never can sleep in a car now can and does. I love it...

    Areial stuck after battery disconnection

As the title really. The battery was disconnected and now when I turn the radio on the ariel only goes up 3", or 75mm, turn the radio off and it retracts. Have tried the CD player, it works fine. Is there a reset for this or has my areial broke as my mechanic is suggesting? :icon-exclaim:

Ok I have had my V8 a couple of months now and am really enjoying it. I love the sound and speed of it but there appears to be an issue!
