Hi Vitor,
My guess is that it is a liquid cooled intercooler - you can see the
reservoir in the top left corner and the main unit appears to have
banjo style connectors feeding to the front of the engine bay, probably
to the liquid cooler.
These units are pretty handy where space is limited and you want to
keep the distance of pipework between the turbo and the engine to a
minimum (increasing it can introduce turbo lag).
They would have a liquid cooler in front of the rad, that feeds cool
liquid to the equivalent of a jacketed radiator - the cool liquid drops
the temperature of the air passing through it via the jacket.
The big black thing is most likely the jacket with the core running
between the two connections that you see on top.

Hi Vitor
It's a water-air intercooler. It will be plumbed via an electric pump to its
own small radiator probably mounted in front of the main cooling rad.
Some claim these are more efficient than an air to air intercooler but I
suspect its not that simple - size matters etc. They do enable you to keep
the size of the inlet tract down so theoretically should give a slightly
quicker response to the turbo (less volume of air to pressurise) but I think
this is unlikely to make any difference on a turbo diesel with no throttle
plate.
As far as I can see the main advantage is that you only need to find room
for the water pipes when plumbing through to the front of the vehicle.
Hope this helps.

Hi Julian, Toby and all
I suspected already, but seeing the tipe of pipes used on it and translating on google the description "...190 HP air conditioning system," could it be a AC type system to cool de air?
