80 series centre diff lock actuator

Hello, Just new to forum and a recent 80 series owner. I have a question regarding the centre diff lock actuator on my 1992 model. It is stuffed! rusted solid. I got it cleaned up in hope but its never going to go again. Does anyone know where you can get new ones.
Another idea I had was if I could lock the diff and fit free wheeling hubs to the front. Not my preferred option but a lot cheaper. Appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi and welcome.

You can lock the centre diff and fit freewheeling hubs but, I reckon the cost would compare with a new centre diff lock mechanism however, you will have thrown away the safety of 4WD.

There are members here who can you get new and even good used parts and will no doubt chime in.

I’ve not heard of the Centre Diff lock giving problems usually it’s the axle diff locks that deteriorate.
