80 Series Landcruiser Plug-and-Play Keyless Remote Entry

Looks very nice, get very used to remote central locking on more modern cars!

I thought at first it was keyless entry and ignition/drive off like in many new cars but it looks like it just does what the TVSS alarm system does on later models. I've no idea how much a replacement TVSS unit is or if it's even still available but this looks like an economical replacement for a dead TVSS.

awesome find lorin! for the last couple of years ive been looking at the major alarm brands retro fit keyless entry systems, while not over difficult to install, they are far from plug and play.

Yes thanks lorin, I’ve just bought one too with the discount it comes in at retail with the shipping. Christmas might be good this year.

I'm about to order one for myself any one else interested? Might be a small saving on postage etc?

Had a response, no it wouldn't work on the 105..

Hi all. This looks interesting. For clarification, on the website it says 'factory central locking with no remote'. Am I correct that simply means the doors lock from the switches on the armrests, but don't have the remote FOB? Thanks,
Ron

I hope so as mine is on its way and that is the system I have. Central locking on the key in the door and the switch in-front of the window switches.

I assume one has to disconnect any security system before installing as their contacts are common in some areas.

Mine arrived on Saturday along with some gauge pods and stuff. Under 2 weeks from Oz is not bad at this time of year. Haven’t fitted anything yet as my 80 isn’t here, hoping to get it back in the next couple of weeks. Quality looks good though.

Thanks for the reminder, have just placed an order for the remote central locking and the mainline EGT gauge holder.
