A low miler

Got a picture sent from my mate who works at Toyota today, a mint condition 80 with 56k they had in for work, he said it's like brand new underneath.
They don't really see 80's any more, mine graces the car park for parts but that's about it.

what work was it having done?

did they know what to do with it or were they trying to hook it up to a computer?

He didn't say what it was in for, probably a service. he's the workshop manager but used to work on them when he was on tools.

Never said anything about being for sale, he'd want to buy it himself if it was.

Just goes to show that there are still good low milage examples out there. Shame about the wheels though. I wonder what happened to the originals?

It was in for new air con compressor, apparently there was a choice between an exchange unit and a brand new (much more expensive) unit.
It didn't get the exchange one.

Parts lad dropped me some bits off this morning and was saying about it.
