Morning All,
Well things are shaping up nicely for the ELCO weekend at Lincomb Farm.
Thanks to the excellent work over the weekend by Tony, Toby, Ian, Ray
and Jon we now have a few more interesting obstacles on the off road
course with more changes coming over the next few days.
To date we have 12 vehicles/29 people registered.
I know there are a lot more of you that are wanting to come along, so
if you can come, please could you go across to the website and register
so that I can keep an eye on the numbers - see
http://www.landcruisers.info for more info.
We need to get a clearer idea of the numbers for the catering side of
things, and with the event being featured in the next edition of Total
Off Road magazine, if it gets to the point that we might have to
restrict numbers it would be on a 'first come first served' basis.

How bizarre, it seems to be some sort of encoding issue.
The message should have read...
Hi Steve,
I could make up some High Lift jacking points for you, but to be honest
you won't need them for the weekend - if you do get stuck at all
(highly unlikely unless you are trying really hard!!) there will always
be someone around to tow you out.
As for the electrics, Jon Wildsmith here has some manuals that you can
download from his site, or you can just ask here.
What are you thinking of doing with the windows? At a basic level take
the window rubbers out and give them a really good clean and then spray
with a silicone based 'dry lube'. Also consider applying fresh grease
to the winder mechanism and also strip down the switch assembly and
clean the contacts in there.
After that the next best option is to consider replacing the window
rubbers with new ones and also replace the motors.
