Anyone know Overland Cruisers

Yes exactly a phone call to explain the situation and let the customer know whats going on. Even if its bad news or delays goes a massive way to helping keep customers happy.

TWO YEARS and not a word from that @&$£^. Julian if you are lurking I will be serving you with a CC order and blasting every site in the UK.

Question for the group - anyone know where I can get hold of an engine that will drop into the FJ? I’d prefer to stick with diesel.

you are far better dealing with Richard and the great team of land cruiser experts at West Coast off-road in Southport for all your work as these guys are spot on to deal with (sensibly priced) and true to their word 100%
and Gary at 80 Breaker in Wisbech for your bits as he is another true man of his word 100% he always has everything you need in stock and at good prices ££ and he always delivers the next day with no BS excuses (end of

A poor reputation for Garry80breaker too, reported on various sites as taking money and no parts, and selling junk, (end of. IIRC he used to be on here.a long while ago.

Cant comment on quality of 80 breakers parts. But after enquiring about some parts and wanting photos of the items before paying to have them posted. He refused and it became a bit awkward...
Found the parts elsewhere

There can be no reasonable explanation as to why anyone would refuse pictures of items to interested customers when sales are their buisness. Most odd ??
Surely he wouldn't sell/send you 'junk' as some of his purchasers have stated......... ??
Maybe THE CRUISER KING gets all his parts from there, for the no rust, never been welded, cruisers he sells ?

Yea, it was really strange. Spoke to him on the phone and even after I said I wont pay before seeing photos as it was a long way to drive for something that could have been junk, he in essence said I'll have to buy the parts from some one else. I was actually a bit taken aback by his attitude ‍

What engine is in there now?

IMHO ive used 80's 3 times now and only had good service from them. Twice mail order and once I drove to collect. Parts were as requested and delivered promptly. I didn't even think to ask for photos in advance. Trusted a business to honour the expectation.

Agree, trusting a person/buisness to honour the expectation is what it's all about buying anything that's shipped/posted, but it needs to be consistant and honest, so any bad reputation doesnt creep in about holding vehicles with no/poor work, taking money for nothing sent, or sending junk, then not reply - just be up front.
A photo of what your paying for is not unreasonable unless there things to hide.
We need specialist repairers/breakers/sellers of used parts cheaper or not available new, so why do buisnesses adopt 'shady' practises that are spoken about on various forums and elsewhere ?
If I put something for sale on here with no photo/s, I'm sure interested parties would ask,(quite rightly) and if I hadn't done so would be only too happy to forward them with an honest description and showing any faults. The buyer can then make up their own mind after any questions they may have. Wouldn't that be standard good practise with a buisness ?

Especially as one persons description of a second hand 20yo part being good condition/mint varies a lot between people.

Thats Karl Webster as opposed to karl2000.
Also chapelgate on here for various parts.

Why only sometimes ??

He occasionally gives away new 120 parts no longer required to members though, and is a good source of info, especially electrical.
A real ok person.
I just mentioned karl2000, as due to confusion, he has been asked on here before for parts availability.

TBH, I've been getting parts from Nayab Akbar on FB under the Toyota LandCruiser source UK, Ireland & Europe group. Takes a while getting them from shipped to delivery but can source pretty much anything. Parts are shipped to Wolverhampton depot and then internally from there. Provides photos, information and is super helpful.
