Hello All,
There have been a few posts recently about tyre wear.
Here are my findings on the BFG A/T KO
When they are new, the BFG A/T KO, they are made with 16 / 32 inch of tread.
I believe this is precisely half an inch, which is 12,7mm
265 x 70 x R17

When I was at Mr Toyota recently, as part of their safety checks, they measure the tyre tread depths.
Mine were measured at 11mm all round on all 4 wheels.
Trusting that Mr Toyota measure right, and the remaining tread is 11mm.
And the 20,665 miles has used up 1,7mm of tread.
If I wear the tyres down to 2mm legal limit that gives me 12,7mm – 2mm =10, 7 wear ability
20,665 = 1,7mm so 10,7mm will get me 130,067 miles, baring serious cuts and punctures.
Yes, I am pleased.
