It was Craig, but the more I looked at it and the underhanded approach to what they were doing with your data, your content, the less I thought it would be a good thing to continue with.

Call me bias but I've been using the mobile version a lot now (including this reply) and you'd be hard pressed to fault it against an app. It's actually very good (being in the Web "game" I'm normally quite critical)

Give it a try.

Thanks guys... trip was great, Angola was very interesting and a lone UK-reg vehicle travelling without escort certainly caused some interesting situations!!

Yep Maun has also changed, its now the 4th largest city in Bots... a shame as it's lost all of its charm as a frontier stop. Robots, new bridges and more buildings etc etc... Crime has also risen sharply. In the Ngami times, there was an open letter to criminals urging them to stop their criminal activities as it is destroying Maun and its community...

They call it progress in Africa !

Was in Angola 25 years ago, and wanted to see what it like now. As you know I'm not keen on convoy trips and really didn't want to have a escort (although everyone says you MUST have one). The problem is Portuguese... I only have aa smattering and not many locals speak English, so reverted to the lingua franca of Africa... and got by. It's a fascinating country, beautiful rugged, but littered with UXO... which made for some very hairy and exciting experiences. Oh yes... and full of Chinese!!!
