John, what with all these "fart cars" and a "Pain in the ass" maybe a
change of diet is needed - unless you intend to run the cruiser on gas.
Seriously though, as Roman has said there can be a lot to do if raising
the vehicle more than a few inches.
You asked - why do we do it, if it raises the C of G ?
- we do it to give more ground clearance or to allow large diameter
tyres to be fitted - we just have to accept the inevitable fact that the
C of G is raised.
As in many things in life there is a trade off.
