Cowl Louver to windscreen rubber seal

I've got my truck in for a windscreen replacement tomorrow. On assessing the job, the windscreen guy reckoned my windscreen seal is currently misfitted where it meets the cowl louver (I call it the scuttle panel). As you can see from the pic, there is a rubber flap section towards the bonnet which is currently sitting over the cowl louver, but the guy reckons this should be fitted in the gap between it and the windscreen.

It makes sense what he's saying, but could somebody with more 80 knowledge confirm how this should be fitted? Unfortunately the service manual doesn't go into this much detail :)

Cheers

Here's an old pic of the corner of mine Al, looks the same to me.

Edit, seeing both together you seem to have an extra piece

agreed its wrong you need to remove the wiper arms, 10mm socket and lift them off and then the 5 or 6 screws under the bonet at the top that hold the other end. easy job and then it lifts off. i know as i did mine a few weeks back

Ale,

Even without photo, I can warrant that JM's looks the same as my 80, whereas yours looks like it needs it's shirt tucking in!

Good luck...
