Not really sure why I find this interesting but it's pretty good.

These guys take denim, soak it in resin, layer it and wait for it to cure. The result is a composite material which is silly strong, machinable and looks very nice when polished.

They use it for custom knife handles which look very nice. Not sure what application it has in the LC world but could make a nice thingy-ma-jig? :|

Have a look at knives made from damascus steel if you want to see the metal equivalent of that kind of patterning!

I actually feel like you have just told me the girl I am seeing used to be the builder who did your drive before he had the sex change. You have totally ruined it for me :twisted:
 
Besides, I don't think you could do it with resin and white tracksuits.

I have to say they make really lovely knives. Bit pricey but they look the dogs danglies
 
Except the (apparently!) handles are chav.
I'm still hurt about that....

Chav knife handles are plastic and have ASDA printed on them :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
