Do you want better brakes on your 60?

The standard pads look like they come off a mini metro and struggle to stop the vehicle even just coming off a motorway slip road. Calipers from a mark 3,4,5 Hilux bolt straight on. They don't look massively bigger, but remember area is a squared function. I reckon they give about 25% more pad surface. I fitted them and it's made a massive difference to braking performance.

Thnx for the tip, I've read it somewhere before. Also an early 80 series booster supposed to fit, and increase brake capacity due to bigger piston.

I'm looking to do this upgrade on pads and booster someday!

That's the one! They're also on kzj70, hilux surf, four runners and 90 series. The 80 series front calipers dont fit as they have wider mount mount spacings!

To use these is a great mod! Well worth the effort ..

I definitely need to add this to the list. The 80 series brakes were quite good but these are optimistic perhaps but also frightening at times until I really give the pedal a push.
Mind you its not the fastest vehicle so just need to watch it going down hill
