Was over in Frogs Island on Saturday.
The yard was full of LC's pimped up in all manner of shapes, sizes and every kind of gadget imaginable.
Interestingly there was a brand new LC 105 (i think). A non-turbo 80 apparently - savage looking machine!
Also Ewan McGregor and some other lad had 2 brand new Patrols getting fitted out five star Hollywood style for a trip from St John of Groats ( Goats?) in Scotland to Cape Town. Sponsored by Nissan me thinks.... Showers, 4 poster beds, million gallon fuel tanks, on board make-up facilities the works!
Anyway I was looking for a set of rock slider attachments for the ARB bullbar I got last year - none to be had due to new EU regulations ARB are no longer exporting to EU. It will soon be illegal to have anything on the front of a vehicle (under 4 years old (i think)) that weighs over 30KG??
So those with older LC's will be OK but if you have an old LC and want to stick a girder on the front be warned - they'll be hard to come by.
Anyway - looking forward to getting the LC back in a few weeks with new BeB's, Timing belt, injectors & pump overhauled bt the lads in Swindon, valve clearance adjusted, and 170ltr aux fuel tank.
As for the rock sliders - going to get a mate in Australia to get me a set and post them over...
Cheers
Niall
