Helping a pal of mine this Friday with his new to him LWB 90 series manual diesel. 1KZ-TE

Would any of you know quantities for:
Anti freeze -
(will be using Toyota red) - doing a flush plus replace thermostat and clean the rad after seeing what it can capture between aircon rad and engine rad!

Engine oil (presume 10w 40?)

Diffs - all three and grade of oil please

Thanks so much

From the Max Ellery manual . . .

Anti freeze:

With rear heater 11.0 litres ) You won't completely drain the block, so 10 litres of red should suffice.
Without rear heater 10.1 litres )

Engine oil (I use 10w40  ):

With new oil filter 8.0 litres
Without new oil filter 7.3 litres
Dry fill 8.5 litres

Front diff 18deg C & above - SAE 90, below 18deg - SAE 80w90. API GL-5.
Transfer Box (VF3B) - 75w90 API GL-4 or GL-5: 1.2 litres.
Rear diff 18deg C & above - SAE 90, below 18deg - SAE 80w90. API GL-5.

The book gives one volume for axles - 2.8 litres. I think that's for both axles combined. The front doesn't hold much.

Gearbox:

Type R150F (?) = 2.2 litres. API GL-4 or GL-5, SAE 75w90.

Hope this helps.

Bob.

The front diff holds ~1.1 litres and the rear holds 2.9 litres
Front diff I would use a good quality Synthetic Oil, there isn't much oil in it and it does the same work as the rear diff.
