Hi all,

So I picked up a front runner 3/4 roof rack for a decent price. The advert was for a 80 series but once installed it looks like the legs are too tall. There is a number "7" stamped on the legs and I think it might be designed for a defender or discovery 2.

Does anyone have any cost effective suggestions on how to reduce the height....

Thanks,

Dylan

Thanks Mark.
If I was to decide to put a table slide on, would I have to get the higher leg?

I like the idea of a tight fit for both the look as well as a possible advantage with wind resistance. But versatility is also a good option.....

I think so reading the frontrunner website. Probably best trying to find another 80 with the same rack and get some measurements

I just checked on mine as I have a WindCheeta full length. There are 3 pairs of legs. The rear 2 pairs are stamped number 2 and the front pair is stamped number 3. At the closest point to the roof, the gap is about 40-50mm tops. Hope this helps.

When I got my rack secondhand, it was too long & the legs too long as well, I got a local Ali fabricator to shorten the rack & legs, it's been fine even when seriously overloaded
