Google map misguidance

I've just been navigating via a google map print out.
Durness to The Queens Hotel in Dundee. .
The print out had the directions and turns with a running total for the mileage (next time I might zero the clock ! ) with little tiny bits of map showing the turns etc.
All was well (hell I know where Dundee is), but as soon as I start using the directions it all goes to pot and eventually it dumps me at the wrong hotel.
A quick phone call and I was given directions no problem.
Google just gave infuriating misguidance.

If I had just printed out a suitable scale of map with street names, I'd have been fine.

ha, ha, ha,

Google does have some funny quirks, that's for sure.

I think there was a thread on it some where here on Land Cruiser forum to see who could get the most strange directions.

I am sure some one found that to go from UK to USA for example, one should follow the Google instructions, then get a Kayak to USA.
