Yep had similar issues and you have reminded me Frank, I had to go back over my long running thread (11 years) over on 'MUD' it was the transfer box giving symptoms.
It is in here somewhere: Builds - My LC 80 thread. - [Leaving Land Cruiser Club] But as the thread has everything I have done to my 80 (even including servicing) you may need to look it up from about 5 or 6 years back? I would do it for you but can only be on a computer or watch TV for so long.
