How long should 2 95ah batts last?

As mentioned I have returned from SA after 5 weeks holiday to find the cruiser is dead flat to the point where I had to use the key to open the door manually rather than push the central button. I have a std cruiser fitted with 2 x 95AH batteries.

Is this to be expected?
 
Sounds like your batteries are getting tired or you have a reasonable drain on them. I take it the cruiser didn't start?
I went through the same scenario except in winter and arrived back in the midst a winter freeze and mine started fine - my batteries weren't great then and ended back being replaced within a year. Hence my comments about yours when the weather has been mild.

Why not get them tested at a specialist battery place just to be sure?
 
Probably the best route to go is to trickle charge them to fully charged, wait a day and take them to a garage with a heavy discharge tester. This will tell you very quickly the health and strength of your batteries.

Thanks for the reply's. The car did not start so had to jump it off the rav which started first time. I will take it to have them tested some time this week and take it from there.
 
Just a little salt, :shock:

I got back to Manchester airport, where I left the 120, at the end of November last year.
Pressed the remote, turned the key, "Don't you just love a Toyota"
Almost 5 months later, through all that winter snow.
First spin of the starter motor, and away.

This is now getting a bit technical but here goes.

I have used my multimeter on the following settings to get the following reading:

Black lead in COM port
Red lead in 2A fused port

Dial switched to 20m over 2

Reading: 0.10 with no key in ignition and all doors closed with no electronics on that I know of.

Does the above make sense and would i be correct in saying there is a draw of 0.1A when the car is not in use and all locked up?

Indeed you have a small current draw somewhere. Clock, Radio programming, etc.. etc...

Something is using a little bit of energy, hard to guess what exactly.
If you are going to leave a vehicle unattended for a long while, simply disconnect the batteries and coat the attachments with diëlectrical grease.

Remove the grease with some cloth and contact spray when connecting up again.
