I've had the steering control valve off Fiery and done a full strip down and rebuild of O rings and oil seals. As the engine is out I have oodles of room to play in but cannot for the life of me get the damn helical gear to sit down on the rack.
I've done all sorts of combinations of sideways wiggling on the housing while pushing down or hammering, working the helical gear left and right on it's own. Just can't get it to go the final 20 - 25mm home so it can be bolted up. Is there a technique to getting these things to go?
