Julian
Glad to hear that.
My turbo light was coming on - normally at about 130km/hr after 3/4 hrs
driving.
That was why i cleaned it down - incase any dirt was getting into the turbo.
Turbo light not coming on any more...

Niall
the rocker cover to the pipe between the filter and the turbo, not worth
worrying about too much.

Landed in Cairo last nite.
Some buzz driving here. No lights and bumper to bumper.
Have a 9th floor hotel room with a view of the Pyramids.
Hotel car park doubles up as a vehickle depot for trips to Egyptian
desert. So had a good craic with the boyz. Put mine over the pit and
we had a good checkover before next leg. Also put theirs in the pit .
Ex Paris Dakar 24 Valve 80 1HdT had a nice set of double shocks front
and rear. Monster radiator and manual gear box.
They drop the oil every 1000 k's - bad oil in Egypt. Prefered oil is
Libyan if they can get it - run that for 3000 k's - Straight W40. Have
30 ltrs of that in my Jemel.
Like the Libyans - 140W in the diffs. I've converted to that also.
Next stop Quseir for red sea

What is inshalla?.

Niall
I found Cairo bad as well - in the end you have to 'drive as the locals do'
- incessant traffic, noise, pollution...and the ubiquitous "all'ah ahk'bar"
from early morn til dusk...
Going to visit the pyramids and Giza?
