I remember walking along a narrow street in Hastings, outside the Anchor pub, and being clouted on the back of the head by a passing van, not really injured but it did smart a bit.
I was hitchhiking when i was about 10 and a car wing mirror hit my hand i'd guess about 50 or 60mph (because i know the road) , it threw my hand over my shoulder and i spun 180 . I remember looking at my hand laughing in astonishment because it was undamaged and didn't actually hurt
Just luck Chas i think , the contact was perfectly flat on the back of my hand so it was just an almighty slap which caused more of a numb feeling than pain , it was a very strange experience .
