i need a new radiator for my truck, and so was wondering if any one had any decent second hand ones, or if any one can recommend where i can get one from new?

i was thinking of getting one from milners, but im sure i read on here that a few people had bought rads from milners and wernt very impressed.

im going to try and solder it as a temporary fix, as its got 2 small holes in the top header part of the rad which is made of brass. :)

thanks Darren, that would have been ideal, but i think im sorted now.

in the end i took it to a radiator specialist and there going to strip it down, silver solder the holes in the top from the inside, and then fit a brand new core.

its costing a lot of money, but at least i will know its been built properly and will have a decent guarantee.

so it should be a lot better than the cheap "made in china" crap that a lot of places seem to sell.

No worries maybe better off keeping it just in case mine dies on me just trying to have a clearout and raise some cash at the same time

Out of interest what are they charging to sort your rad out as my 40 series rad isn't in the best of health

it cost £170. :|

apparently the new core cost over £100, as its a 3 core and quite big. The rad is a lot bigger than a lot of the rads fitted to a lot of new lorries and road sweepers apparently.
They silver soldered the holes in the top of the rad from the inside, before fitting the new core.
Its also guaranteed for a year, and only took 24hours from me dropping it off to picking it up.
