Hi, I've finally got my lc80 to a state of decency, so here's a picture of it at work

Got about an inch in the hills to the west of Mal. Been snowing very lightly all morning. Steep drive is already impassible to wife's car.

BUT

The forecast is 250mm for Friday TXT Bat 21 already and we will be out to play.

Bring it on Snow chains at the ready..

Bought 4 of these................. and they fit my 285 x75 x 16 a treat

London ResilienceSevere Weather Update

The Met Office have issued an Amber alert for snow across London tomorrow, Friday 18th January, indicating a medium likelihood of a high impact snow event.4-8cm of snow is expected to fall in London from around 09.00 – 17.00. Areas tothe south-west of London may experience slightly more (up to10cm). Lighter snowshowers may continue overnight and into Saturday. Sunday is expected to bedrier, but cold and severe weather warnings for ice have been issued for both Saturday and Sunday.

Members of the London Resilience Partnership have met to discuss preparationsand relevant agencies have implemented severe weather plans. However, please beprepared for some disruption to road, rail and air transport and that journeysmay take longer than normal. Businesses may wish to consider alternative workingarrangements for staff, and business continuity arrangements if staff areunable to get to work.

TfL and London Councils have co-ordinated plans, developed alongside emergencyservicesand Network Rail, designed to keep the transport system and a networkof key routes open throughout severe weather:

89,000tonnes of salt have been stockpiled by TfL and London boroughs to ensure that all road users, including pedestrians and cyclists, can continue to get around the capital.
A fleet of road gritters will be deployed to keep roads clear and arrangements are in place to enable boroughs to share salt stores with each other should they require them.

• This includes roads and footways around bus garages and stations, hospitals, railway stations and police, fire and ambulance stations across London
• The pan-London Strategic Salt Reserve of 27,000 tonnes, which has not been called into use during the past two winters, is also available should supplies become low.
• TfL and London borough staff will be working around the clock on the Tube, bus, rail and road networks to minimise disruption during freezing conditions.
• De-icing trains are in operation, keeping tracks as clear as possible, platforms are being gritted to keep them safe for customers and points - the mechanical parts that operate junctions on the network - are being checked.
• Network Rail, whose network is used by some Tube services on the District and Bakerloo lines, and who manage all of the infrastructure on which London Overground services operate, are also working closely with TfL to ready the network.

Hot tip - use bungy cords to tension the chains (i.e across the wheel face) after fitting - saves readjusting later and also saves you losing the chain if it gets spit off. Did this when offroading in the Alps - works a treat (most of the locals do it).... Hope this is of some help

They're 285/75/16 BFG ATs on a -32 offset wheel to bring them level with the wheel arches.
