In my experience if you had lift (2") than you don't need to have
anything else done to the vehicle. When I had new shocks fitted I also
had new coils at the same time, so giving me about 2.5" on my 31 10 15"
tyres, nor does it change the gear ratios - it might effect your speedo
a little bit, mind, something about differing tyre speeds but I'm no
techno with stuff like this. I know that the faster I go the more the
errror range between read speed and actual speed (as my GPS indicated)

Hi Guys
Its been a while since I gave any one any headaches on the list by
asking
questions so I think I have a few. But first to let you all know the
leaking CV inner seal is fixed and I did it all on my own, of course I
did
NOT. Our new member Mik in Mayo was so kind to do it and I helped by
watching cleaning and learning. He made it look so easy and once you
see it
being done it changes the whole idea of not being able to even think
about
doing it. Do any of you guys know of a good 4x4 guy in wales or close
for
steel rims and tyres, I am thinking of getting the cruiser ready for
off
road because there seems to be some activity every now and again over
here.
If I go to a larger tyre say a 31 10 15 will it change the ratio of the
gear
changes in the auto box at all. I am also thinking of a set of new
springs
like OME which should give a 2inch lift and stableise the ride more,
but if
I do that is there any thing that has to be made longer underneath the
body
like wires or pipes etc. While I was out this morning bugging the poor
guy
in the motor factors he showed me a pump for changing the oil from the
dip
stick. I know you probably know about this already but it was new to me
to
think that you could change the oil from the dip stick. When changing
the
fluid in the auto box where do you fill from ,is it the dip stick. How
do
you change all the fluid , is it drain then fill then drain again and
so on.
Up to this it has always gone into Toyota but I feel some confidence
coming
from some where, it must be those tablets I had this morning.
Thanks Guys
