Seeing as I'm not (yet) going to build a carputer, I've been looking at a Ram Mount system to mount a 10" netbook. I've come up with this from Ram Mount UK:

For NetBook mount:

Tough Tray II.                                £33.65
RAM-202 AMPS Base & 1.5" ball.        £14.24
RAM-234-S2 Laptop Screen Support.        £19.20
RAM-316-1A Laptop Pod I with std leg      £34.67

Total                                        £101.76

Can anyone confirm if this configuration is suitable, and recommend anyone with better pricing??

Cheers

Paul/BAT21 had a mount from Ram for his kit - might be worth a quick call to him...

I carved a TV wall mount up for my screen & used a couple of u-bolts to fix the bracket to the passenger grab rail!!!

I'm running an Asus T101MT. I just went with the tough tray II and a 4" ball mount with base then bolted that onto the passenger grab rail with a "U-Bolt", pretty much as Bat21's setup IIRC. I bent up out of M6 threaded rod. Haven't tested this in anger yet but have used it on a few motorway cruises and seems to work well.

What do you need the screen support and pod leg for?

The pod leg is to go down to the front pax seat mounting bolt (the 120 doesn't have a front 'oh sh1t' bar). The screen supports are to stop the screen flapping about if things get interesting :)
