The rear diff pinion seal is leaking once more (the life of the seals has been getting constantly shorter) - I have no doubt the groove(s) have got so big the seal cant seal......

Has anybody tried the speedy sleeve solution rather than buying a new flange?

This is just a google images search but you get the idea.............

I've used Speedi sleeves several times. They're good. But personally I prefer to fill the groove first with a compound, smooth it back and then put the sleeve on. Otherwise you get a bit of a 'Camel-flange' effect if you follow me.

Good call Chris - the last time I used them was on my Unimog but I sold it before I could really get a measure of their effectiveness on what could have been a very ££££ new gearshaft.

Sleeve in place. I can't find the picture of the filled shaft. I put it in the lathe to fill it so that it was easy to turn. Then used fine sand paper to smooth it back

Spoken a thousand words their chris - cheers.
