hi
my roof lights (130w ipf) caused me major problems when i needed them most
in tanzania traveling at night (used in anger against big trucks who refused
to dip their hi-beams).
i had some aluminum "blinkers" made to stop the downward glare:

they can really only be used when you are driving as they also generate a
lot of heat and so need the wind to cool them.
