some distortion during welding meant it was not fitting correctly

so some repositioning and re-welding

Blimey  I shouldn't want to be in front of you when your brakes fail  That's one big lump of iron tiss that :icon-exclaim: That said its got a great look about it  :icon-biggrin:

Looking good. My only thoughts are about cooling, but then I guess with you being up north that's not going to be a massive issue.

it does look tall in the front but that is bcause it is made to fit a truck with a 2 inch body kift.
as i was made aware of possible cooling issues with this engine i have replaced the radiator, thermostat, water pump and hoses with all new items.

cheers roy

Nice work

That should load up those 882 ome springs you bought off me nicely :icon-biggrin:

Looks good! Hopefully won't cause a problem with cooling. My folks had a Colorado that had no end of cooling issues when towing.

Nice work!

Its great doing a wooden template first, so much easier to change the design while its made of wood. :icon-biggrin:

Very nicely done. I'm beginning to get seriously inspired to try something similar for mine. Thanks - SWMBO will never forgive me :icon-cool:!

Just looking at this again, does the top of the bumper touch the lights? I suppose it could result in some damage to the lights if you ever ground the bottom of the bumper.

It was Ben#s bumper build that made me go out and buy a welder. Had it nearly a month now and still haven't had a play. What with one thing and another can't afford to get me a mask, some wire and gas. But I garun-damn-tee there will be a new bumper (Front and back:pray:and rock/treesliders((Fingers Crossed Smiley)) before next lincomb.

Very nice - the bumper has a real "I mean business" look about it! ....and it was a great looking truck in the first place anyway! :icon-biggrin:

However, I might echo the concerns over cooling (or lack of) that others have mentioned - it may not be an issue, only time will tell I suppose.
