After considering many design ideas for Snow White - think I have come up with "The One" :icon-biggrin::icon-biggrin:

Might take a bit of planning  but I think it could be done :icon-biggrin:

I think you should just buy that and be done with it :icon-biggrin:

Hmm, tempting but too in love with Snow White, besides, the Doubleback wouldn’t be able to do the challenges at Lincomb . Just thought of adapting a couple of very strong runners like the ones you use in rack mounted serves – hmm, know a few places to borrow some of those :shifty:. Aircraft grade aluminium for the pull out box – could even have some window boxes and fairy lights as well :icon-surprised:.

That's called "thinking outside of the box"!

More like Pandora ’s Box

Looks a cracker, but at what cost?
"A basic 2013 T5 Doubleback will set buyers back £54,000 while a top-spec model with added extras like a flatscreen TV, DVD player, beds in the roof and an awning could cost up to £70,000"

Well could save a bit, borrow the futon mattress from our sofa (it’s so uncomfortable as a sofa we wont miss it:icon-rolleyes:), already have a flat screen TV/computer, external hard drive is already loaded with many hours of DVD’s. Would just need a can opener for the roof but don’t know whether could bring myself to do that :icon-cry:.

Problem with any of those extending solutions is that they don't increase your carrying capacity on the move, they do the exact opposite and restrict it even further. If you really need the extra space buy a bigger truck, this solution solves nothing... Just my 2p...

Better off buying a trailer IMO.....

Heh, I have lusted after one of these for years,

and here a video, don't be fooled it's not Australian ;)

Then there is also the Xplorer,

Not a thread hijack lol
but certainly a better option than compromising your vehicle as a daily driver/use full vehicle.
set up trailer as base camp and explore then hook up and move on, not breaking camp every time you go anywhere lol.

Now there are some cool ideas:drool:, not for me though..!

Sorry gents, it was my sense of humour, I will stick to my LC being a traditional vehicle, with a few minor mods and enjoy her natural beauty.
