Well it started early evening and it's still snowing pretty hard here. Just been to walk the pooch - yes it is 01.30 in the morning, but it looked pretty out there. It's dumped a cool 6" and it's still coming down. Forecast rain blah blah. All I know is it's pretty thick. And I have to change a starter and a CV in the morning. Could be interesting getting to Milners.

Off to South Shields at 6.30 in the slush box 80. Have fitted 255/85/16 KM2's on Hilux rims just in case .Dont forsee any probs. Drove back from Notts late last night was fine.

Update, just been to Sheffield 40 mile round trip in the Chevy. Didn't need 4WD at all. Off to South Shields in the Cruiser now.

I was out in the black one last night. Shed loads here too. Took mum to work an had lots of run on way home with the rear locker in. Roads were un passable for many in cars. Helped a coulpe. Where i live it had drifted quite bad. Yet again the 80 amazed me with just how good they actually are.

Same here, proper clear blue sky with no sign of snow in tha air or on the ground!!! It's all gone!

We went to a panto at Theatre Clwyd (Mold, North Wales) last night; roads were clear as a bell when we went in at half-six; it was snowing a wee bit at the interval & there was a good couple of inches when we came out at 10ish, roads totally covered & causing problems... But not to us in the hundy :icon-biggrin:

Not much snow here in Shropshire. :icon-biggrin:

Had a few inches over night, but cant see it sticking around long now theres clear blue sky's and sunshine! :icon-cool:

Super thick snow here and no front diff. Waaaaarrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!!

Chris

Had about 6 inches, had to move the focus to get the 80 out. Really don't get people who drive so slow on roads that are mostly clear in a 4x4!!
Got a load of abuse from a defender driver doing 15mph, wasn't pleased I over took him!!
Getting more used to the 80 now, any tips for lack of engine braking with the auto? Haven't used lockers in anger but took opportunity to give them a good test.

Quite a bit more overnight on top of what we've already had here. Couldn't resist a little play on the way back from the protest in Bakewell so had a run over Houndkirk. 18" -2ft of lying snow up there in places. Well worn AT pattern tyres, no diff locks and just ploughed through. My old Disco would've needed the CD locked under the same circumstances.

My mates ten year old had his first driving lesson from me in a manual cruiser (black one) Teacking him how to drift on his first lesson was great to him. He really enjoyed it. Reminded me when i was young playing in anything with a engine.

why do you hate it Karl? Is it the black 24v in your signature?

Do you still have the SP1 and M3?

Tobie

Not a thing here :-(

In fact it's just lashing down with rain.

The one in the photo above is my 24v yes. The m3 got sold a moth ago after owning it for years. Still got the sp1 not much good in this weather though.

Hate the tall one because when off roading or lanning its just to top heavy. Loads of flex but just doent suit my driving style.
