Standard underslung spare wheel carrier question

Does anyone know if a 285/75 x 16 spare wheel and tyre will fit in/on the standard rear under floor carrier?
The standard wheels are 31.2 inches diameter and the 285/75R16 32.8 so I'm hoping there will be enough room.
