It'd be worth buying The Beast just to drive it round in Sheffield's new LEZ.

Underside of the Maroon 100 looks pristine - would never think it was nearly 25 years old. However, £18k+ does seem like a lot but when you look around and see some of the second hand car prices, doesn't seem that bad TBH. At least it's a Cruiser.

Ken Dodds would surely be a beast if reconfigured to be mid engine rwd , a poor mans Veyron .

I remember seeing the first incarnation of The Beast in a car mag in the '70's. It was red IIRC and had a different body, a bit like a Capri with a lengthened bonnet but I believe it caught fire and had to be rebuilt.

Shocked to learn the beast is only 2ft longer than the General Lee classic charger

Used to have a Charger - it was massive - only just fit in a 6m garage.

Ref the OP - agreed on the underseal point - looks like someones taken a couple of cans of rattlecan wax oil to it without any prep. That overspray on the exhaust etc is pretty horrible and obviously not a professional job.

This might be the platform to sell.

On the other hand, if you want to stand out from the crowd
1972 John Dodd's The Beast For Sale By Auction - [Leaving Land Cruiser Club] from the crowd.....
That’d be cheap for prices here - good condition VXs go for AU$50k. Also, “longest running model” - WTF? 1998-2007, the 70 series is 1985-2023, 200 was 2007-2022
