turbo timer and electric brake controller

hi new to this forum and i have a 2/2002 turbo diesel l/c.i live in australia and bogards make a plug and play timer are they ok also do i have to run a line through the vehicle to the trailer plug for brakes or is there a line in the loom, regards from the lovely Adelaide hills
