Been looking to change my tyres as they are getting a bit worn out, current size is 275 70 16 on some wheels that i really like. Been offered some 265 75 16 at a bargain price but wondered if anyone else had changed to this size? I have used the tyre comparison calculator and it show very little difference that may be hardly noticable when driving. Plenty of used 285's about but not keen to change to these.

Paul, I'd be staggered if you noticed any difference.

Thats what i was thinking

Like Chris says, virtually no difference just 10mm narrower. It all comes down to £ per mm, ie value for money.

Paul there is a slight difference in your speedo speed of around 3 mph lower if you have an electric map with a speed indicator you will find yourself driving to that until you get used to it and at motorway speeds its around 5mph well mine does and thats running 265 75 16 Cooper STT Pros oh and on steeper hills you go a bit slower
