...and its intermittent behaviour. 
At first start up, once the Kenwood double DIN unit has come online the aerial pops up and can be controlled manually with no issues. Give it a little while, and suddenly it comes over all workshy. I can generally get it to move a little bit, and it seems to be able to go up by repeatedly pressing the button, but coming back down you generally get a bit of movement and then it halts and won't go any lower.
Turn off, and it retracts back into the wing as expected.
