Hello,
As I said in my intro post, I own a 77 FJ40 that came from NZ. I'm curious about any info I can get about how Toyota specd the FJ40's sent to NZ vs the rigs they sent us here in the states.

Compared to the US specs I typically see, some of the oddities (tried posting a link to my pictures but need another 14 posts first?) I've picked out are:
-no roll bar and wider jump seats
-all clear lenses on the front turn signals - no amber
-hand crank for starting
-early 70's style front door vent windows
-chrome front bumper
-chrome bumperettes
-rear hatch (+/- '76 and newer all had ambulance doors here)
-30-70 split bench seat (usually buckets for this vintage)
-hand throttle
-no dash pad, only a defroster deflector
-larger air cleaner
-no smog control pump
-steel split rims
-power outlet inside glovebox
-stock 'oh-shit' handle above the glovebox
-nicer floor liner
-RHD (duh)

Im currently having some minor rust fixed and then a new paint job. When i got the truck, it had a non-factory paint color so I'll be redoing it with the yellow 532. Want to do it as close to stock as possible, and I'm unsure of a couple of things:
-with the chrome bumper, is the bezel supposed to be chrome too, or white like they do them here?
-what color grey goes on the wheels?
-what color grey goes on the hood latches? Match the rear license plate lamp housing color? Same as wheels?

I've asked the same questions on the IH8MUD forums here, but curious to know what this forum has to say.
Thanks!

NZ spec is the same as the Australian spec 40's, there will be less smog gear on the engine as well.
