Vibrations! (not the good kind)

hi all!

got a 94/L 80series 5speed manual with about 215k on her.

she seems to vibrate a lot, so much so in fact its ruining my driving experience of her. after about 40(ish) on flat road its fine with no vibrations, but when you go up hill or down hill there is a vibration! it gets worse the faster you are - it feels like its coming from the front? . at about 60 the steering wheel also shakes quite excessively.

now i know this could be a 100 different things! but i was just looking to narrow it down.

-i havent yet checked underneat (too cold, wet and miserable right now! will do tomorrow morning)
-on mot advisories: front axel swivel joints has slight play
-cruiser never hard used, mostly motorway miles
-previous owner who had it for 4 year said she has never had wheels balanced (to her knowledge.doh!)
-clutch is very good and strong, gear changes nice and precise

also i havent checked to see if the vibrations go away when i press in the clutch


im not mechanically minded, but im guessing its a combination of prop+universal joints+wheels

loving her so far though!

To much grease in the slip yokes on the end of the props can cause vibrations.
