Let me start by saying that for the nearly 10 years I have owned the car, it has never suffered from any cooling issues. The temperature gauge barely reaches the "half-way" marker and when it does, it is usually on the one day in the year when it's 30C+ and I'm stuck in stop/start traffic...
However, after reading various threads on and relating to LC viscous fans, I've been paying a bit more attention to mine.
Having done some observations when the engine (5VZ-FE) is cold, very hot and at various stages in between, I've come to the conclusion that my fan seems to be always on? Is that possible?
Now if it was always off, it would obviously be a bad thing but having it always on? Is that a bad thing, a good thing or something that doesn't really matter?
Your advice is appreciated, as always.
