Stu

My Hi-lux is a great truck but a 70 series pickup would be much better.
Not to mention getting some jealous looks from a bloke down the road who drives a hi-cap 110.

That's as rough as a badgers arse!

It looks like there is a build plate on the bulkhead, which should have the date on it. Does no-one know to look at the plastic mouldings and find the date that is stamped in them as a way of dating a vehicle? It's surprisingly accurate, especially given it's a Toyota and T are king of just in time production.

The best bet if you want a big 70 is to head to France and pick up a LHD one... I used to see a couple of Troopy's down in the Ardeche used by the canoe companies, along with some 80 series and GU Pootrols.

It looks very rough and would be horrible to drive!

No power steering, leaf's all round and no turbo.

Still Iconic though and with some work could be a nice truck.

It looks like the PS pump is low down on the drivers side; there's certainly some pipes that look right, but I can't see the reservoir for it.

It might have looked like a crate but someone paid £4889.01 for it.

Its a pretty rare car over here i wouldnt pay that but even in africa you would pay more then that for it.

That one was on there for ages, it started at about 16k when it first went on.
