The Coopr disco comes in two flavours (at least). One of them is the Ice & Snow version, which has stud-holes ready for use. The tyre tested by the Nordic motoring magazines was not this one, it was the plain vanilla flavour, considered a "summer&winter tyre"; and included in the test for reference because that's what many SUVs use all year.
I use the Ice&Snow version for winter roads (only after the first snow), and I'm quite happy with them.
The 265/75R16 is in fact slightly bigger than the 275/70, and well suited for the LC, if you don't want anything bigger.
