Been busy rebuilding my engine today but hit a small snag. It seems that a complete gasket set for a 1kzte doesn't come with a new water pump gasket. It has the one between the block and housing but not the one between the housing and pump.
I can't seem to find a gasket on its own and I don't really want to buy a whole new pump just for the gasket as the previous owner installed the pump as new.
I have some permatex right stuff and also hylomar blue.
Could I get away with a smear of either of these without a paper gasket?
