So my 120 is back with new injectors, seals, o-rings, gasket kit etc. Much, much quieter and pulls better. Interestingly they did a full oil and oil filter change as well, in case any contaminants got in when they were working on the injectors. Cost Mr T a fair whack of cash, but hats off to them for sorting it all. Apparently one injector was carboned up quite badly. Good thing I got them to check the oil pickup as well, which was clean.
For reference, the Mr T appointed specialists are Feather Diesel (http://www.feather-diesel.co.uk/) who seem to be pretty well set up, just in case anyone else needs their services - they deal with Joe Public too and now have the latest gear to test common-rail injectors, but can only re-tip them. If there are spill-valve problems etc. they can't be fixed.
Have you tried calling Toyo directly (i.e. not via the dealer). I'd write out all the details, dates etc. then ring a senior manager at HQ.
Toyo are normally quiet good! compared with some manufacturers. I had a top of the line Saab 2.8 aero convertible with just 18K on the clock - 4 years old in perfect nick.It was garaged and dealer serviced. I discovered rust under hood's lid and they refused to rework it because I had missed one annual body inspection.
