What Brake pads ?

I have noticed my front brake pads are down to about 3mm so need to source some replacements some time soon, the discs look very nice without much in the way of scoring and no nastly wear lip so I was thinking they would be fine.

I do a fair amount of towing but not much off road work if that influeneces my purchase, should I get a set from my local motor factor, genuine or something else?

Once you price up OEM items with the Club discount, there isn't a lot of difference. Personally I like to stick with OEM for pads.

With standard discs OEM every time.

I run Hawk LTSs, find they resist fade much better under heavy usage where the OEM pads have called enough.
