What is this for?

Hi all,

Just wonder what is this? The button ? The speaker looking sides?

Is it something to do with the alarm and if so, how does it work?

Although its a guess I'd say its a device which allows the immobiliser to be activated whilst deactivating the interior sensors. It's called the intrusion sensor.

Note its on p50 of the owners handbook.

I will look into it. I am sure it does have something to do with the car's security.

When you turn off the ignition press this to disable the interior sensors . You get a flashing red symbol on the dash to warn you it’s activated

Afaik, the idea is that you should be able to lock the car and leave a pet inside.

We make regular use of the feature when popping into a shop, its really easy to set, unlike our Subaru which is complicated to use.
