Where to buy a new driver side window motor for LC 80 import?

Hi All

I need to replace the window motor on my 80 series import. The truck is a '91 4.2TD VX.

Any suggestions on where I could source a new window motor would be greatly appreciated!

No, the motor isn't totally dead. It works on and off. I think it's the wiring loom that comes out of the motor.

Main reason I'm looking to replace it is that the motor appears to REALLY struggle to open the window, when it does work that is. Even if I pile silicon lube into the window runner, I still need to help it up.

Nigel, the motor struggling is more likely to be your window rubbers being old and like plastic ... or corroded/dirty contacts on the switch.

I have these two jobs on my to do list as well.

Nigel, mine were just the same, replaced the window rubber, whipped the door card off & lubed everything that moves, check the nylon wheel that runs in the bottom track has not seized, btw you can replace the rubbers without removing the door card.
