The barrier reduces the opening a little, but not to much. The window rudder is a nightmare to work with especially as it was pretty cold this morning, probably took 3 hours all in.

Bring it in from states on the plane obviously saved a lot of shipping costs!!!

Very nice.

Swapped the brake hoses on the green one today for Roughtrax braided ones. Kept nice and warm with my new Clarke 3kW infra-red workspace heater.

Well, having driven a number of artics, rigids and forklifts today i returned home from work and was even more manly! Hard to believe i know but look, i bent some metal.

I had to stop though as it was getting dark, gonna try another one tomorrow.:icon-biggrin:

Ps. Having a problem uploading the photos the right way round, never had a problem before, ended up having to crop them for some reason.

Heating off a cold bath and sleep on the kitchen floor Nick and you might get it finished tomorrow

Its only the first step, i figured if i F'd this part up no great loss, but if i bought all the other bits and failed i'd be a slightly upset. Oh n "she's" moved out, no need for heating or bathing but i shall be sleeping in my purple bed, with the purple flowers on the duvet and the purple flowery curtains in the purple bedroom.... Women!

Crack on there Nick. Looking good.

Thanks Chris, I figured if it's not perfect it doesn't matter too much as it will get covered with wood and carpet eventually. That trip to lincomb made me realise I need something in the back for storage. Can't be emptying it all out every time I wanna go play!

All good manly stuff there Nick, I'm impressed.

Although I'm a little surprised you weren't working in the living room, I'm sure she wouldn't mind, otherwise why would she have moved out?

KUTGW

No idea Clive. Anyway her loss, I'm a catch! The other half will have to wait till next weekend as it was raining today. Ordered the slides from gsf promounts today :icon-biggrin:

Looking forward to seeing the finished job Nick, I'm also looking forward to getting a bit of extra storage myself when the gullwings are fitted.

Haven't actually graduated to doing the front hub rebuild, busy gathering all the various bits. Takes a while here, but surprisingly almost everything is available. I suppose seeing as there are just so many LC's still on the roads it's no wonder.
Question is, what sort of CV grease should I be using? Moly, Lithium.......???

Very much worth the effort to make them.

im getting inspiration ( copying) from your thread as well as Bens and Sams ( I think). Using slides though as I figured less for me to go wrong with.

I copied everyone too
It works very well and not mega expensive to build. Put shopping in mine and all sorts.

Use Moly grease (the dark gray stuff) in the CV's themselves and lithium based bearing grease for everything else.

Brother took my truck for MOT this morning............ passed, no worries.

Topped up the underbody seal for the winter. Also had to make a difficult decision on where to mount the all important bottle opener, roofrack or low... Went low as i figured my four year old would not reach at the top when she has to open my bear for me!

Changed the timing belt, idler and tensioner on the 120 today, nice and easy like the Colorado was.
while i was in there i changed the serpinitne/aux belt, I pencilled a quick diagram before taking the old one off. (ive been here before when my mate took his one off a l200 and tried many routes before figuring it out) so no squeaky belt when cold now:icon-biggrin:

Also left the bash plates off, i have some nice black two pack marine paint left over from a job that will smarten them up nicely.
